Dartmoor Landscapes

While I do tend to focus on small scenes and hidden treasures, there is usually a hike through wonderous landscapes to find them. Then, with the right conditions you occasional face a scene that you just have to stop and take in. This is a collection of those moments.

Mary Tavy Sunrise

Brentor wasn't where I planned to be, but a late call to move onto here paid off. I saw Mary Tavy and the hills behind in this show of mist and light from blue hour to sunrise.

Elements of Dartmoor

This was took after a few visits to the area. It was first found on a walk with my wife and I knew I had to return in good conditions. On this visit the foxgloves were a surprise and I had to squeeze them into the scene.

Black Tor with a Dusting

The road to Princetown was well gritted and that makes this spot easily accessible. The form of the tor is great on any day, but with the snow it was really epic
